150mm to 200 mm of railway ballast on geogrid. OR a 40 to 75 mm stone. We use small pieces of angle concreted into the sub base to hold the form work.

The formwork is up from the floor so then you pump concrete into the floor flows under the formwork with the help of a vibrating poker. Remove formwork and channel is formed perfectly in concrete floor ready to have choc bars put in.

I have used a company previously on several occasions called Tey Farm Systems who provided a service from design to completion. They provided a professional hands on approach all the way through and attention to detail was great.

Think we're getting wires crossed @Derky

We have a floor like this made by Pellcroft. Good strong floor available in 3 different thickness. We bought 2nd hand grids, then had the channels made up and got gang in to concrete.

We are just going through planning for a new 1500t on floor grain store with drying.

Looking for any advice/tips from anyone who has done similar.

It is on a green field site on a new block of land that we have taken on.

Planning is in for a 40x24m shed which will be split in two by a tunnel and then probably wooden drying floors.

Just getting quote in for electric connection, 150m to a pole. [emoji33]

Thinking of one big electric fan with a propane burner, I like the idea of stirrers but never used them, any good??

It's been a while since we've done anything like this so interested if there are any new ideas for similar stores?

Fans if you have more ie 2 or 4 they can be more flexible & get away with a lot lower start up Amps. Inverters can help, with again lower start up amps.

Net work power.
Threaten to put a Gen set in if they charge to much.

Floor.
Concrete should have a greater life span at no Maintainance.

Stirers need stronger walls & tunnel.

Shed is all finished along with most of the concrete.

All that's left to do is finish tunnel, lay drying floors, concrete round the edge of drying floor, fit fans/burners, electric to connect and we should be ready for harvest!

Why did this year have to be an early one!!!
