I found the mc11 started to flood when yields hit 8000kg switched to the mc31 which was a massive improvement twenty years on and history is repeating itself an upgrade is due.
You’ll have to go Harmony now, you’ll never flood one of those! On breakages, average about one a year, had them 16 years.

Hi can you tell me why this is? Opted for these on a rotary, maybe it was the wrong choice.
It’s just how the rotary bridge was built wrong. On the exit side it pushes the hose over towards the exiting cow and she is more likely to pull it off with her foot, making it vulnerable to getting crushed.

Likely you will be fine and this would be an issuer for any unit. Ours are hung on a hook( no acrs) so are susceptible to getting pulled off.

Unfortunately I’m not getting on too well with these. What your saying is exactly the problem I’m having, at the cups off side of the bridge. But they are telling me If I had stayed with the normal clusters the parlour was supposed to come with, I wouldn’t be having this issue. It seems to me that the guide rail before the start of the bridge is snagging the acr rope along with the hoses on some units causing the cow to catch the lot when she is backing off. I must have taped up 40 splits and holes in the liners and pulse tubes last week. To me this isn’t acceptable In a parlour that has only just 6 months done. Yet the fitters are telling me if I’d stayed with the original claw piece I would be problem free. They are a tough claw bowl tho

What make of parlour do you have & are the clusters going under or over the bridge?

I highly recommend the Boumatic flow star max. They will not flood with a vented liner and also I have seen them on numerous occasions go through the gap in the bridge of a rotary and not break. Also I believe there is a deal on where they are giving the clusters away free if you sign up for 6 sets of liners for the next 2 years. Most of us would be changing that often anyway, so it seems a no brainer
