New Holland 640 controller

Hi Guys,

We had a New Holland 640 Baler controller repaired last year. When it first came back the display said 640 and started as normal,. BUT.,, We had to send it back as the first repair knocked off the keypad.

We've just plugged it in and the display says 835 then Error 01. Have pressed the button with the crossed out trumpet., but nothing happens.

How can I reset this to 640 ?

Beizelec in France. That's where my New Holland dealer sent it.

Try sending it toDavid King electronics in I think Worcester!

Sounds like you just need to reset it to the correct baler. On the later ones you held down the key with the book symbol and the instructions were in the operators manual.

I've tried the reset as described in the manual and nothing happens. The alarm still sounds and ER 01 shows. :-(

I don't really know for this model I had a BR6090 which came up on the screen on start up like it should. It had a button with a book symbol on it which you held down to enter dealer mode then you could use the button to scroll down a menu to select various calibrations and of coarse what baler the box was controlling. I had to get a print out from the dealers workshop manual for the calibrations so I guess your back to them for that info. It will be very easy when its written in front of you!
