New holland front suspension problem

We've had them fitted to 2 of ours and if it is an improvement its not a massive one, still rough on the road unless they got a weight on

Just to bump this up. Do you find it’s worth running a weight all the time for road work? Trailer work or slurry mainly.

I’ve had mine looked at a few times and it always seems better afterwards but after a week or so goes back to being useless again.
The suspension isn’t down on the stops now, but in my eyes it is sitting lower than it used to at the front end. When you brake it dips very slightly but hardly anything.

We run with a jd 900kg weight on nearly all the time. Ride is horrendous without any weight on. Another tip is if you've got front linkage loose some gas out of the accumulator, just a bit. I also never have the front linkage fully raised as if you've got a bit of ram showing it floats a bit more which also helps the ride. Can see the weights on ours going up and down when on rough ground . Hope this helps

Dipping the brake won't have any effect on a NH, they have a accelerometer under the radiator that locks the suspension when your accelerating or braking to stop it nodding like a yo-yo, that's the idea I think anyway!

Thanks that’s very interesting about the front links I always run mine at 100% up when there’s nothing on them, as in my head it keeps the rams nice and clean. I’ll definately try lowering them a bit tomorrow.

How do I lose gas out of the accumulator?

It’s a different tractor with the mower on, but we have a trailed rear mower so don’t get the full benefits as it’s not balanced as such, but I was tempted to try a 750kg weight and see what it was like.

Ah that’s interesting. I know you can see it slightly move when you go forwards to reverse but it’s not a huge amount.

In the middle under the front linkage is a small accumulator. Take the plastic cap off and with a 6mm alen key just crack the valve off till you hear gas coming out, its less than 1/4 turn. We got a speed bump on the drive so i was driving over that at a bit of speed until i thought the front linkage was floating enough, took 2 goes and its been good since. I only lift the front up to 85% mostly so its got room to travel on the rams

Ah I get you....so it’s a front linkage accumulator not a suspension accumulator. I assumed lowering the links had an effect on the suspension lol.

Its a seperate accumulator and it really does help losing some gas out to make the linkage float a bit more. Might be worth checking the pressures in the front suspension accumulator, they dont last all that long
