Hiya, we have a new Holland t7.210 2016 plate with a rattling noise under the cab, just started today, rattles when you go over a bump or when you turn the wheels to the right whilst driving, anyone any ideas ? Cheers

Start with front and rear wheel nuts, then dish to rim nuts. The noise can transmit through the chassis and sound like it’s under the cab. Then try cab mounts- one on each corner, plus the panhard rod underneath the cab, visible behind the spool stack if you’re stood at the back of the tractor.

The earlier models were prone to propshaft bearings. New holland was doing an updated part aswell.
If it is the prop bearing its advisable to do sooner than later.

I had a T7030 19 speed Power Command fails few years ago, 50 hours short of its 3000 hour major service. Very little warning of a catastrophic main bearing failure, £23k for a factory exchange gearbox, so if I was you I wouldn’t think twice about taking it to a dealer ASAP.

I’ve also had the dreaded front prop-shaft bearing issue on a T6080, for which NH were brazen enough to ask around £2k for the upgraded parts and substantially more than the weak standard parts. It’s just shabby that NH charge owners through the nose to cover for their lack of preproduction testing, it left a nasty taste that wasn’t forgotten when it was traded in against another make.
