New Holland TL/T5000 mudguard bolts

On the right hand mudguard on the TLA there is a bolt, it's shown in the picture beside the yellow PTO button and above the orange throttle lever.
What is the bolt for, is it holding something in place, or is it there to mount brackets on for monitors, is it a nut and bolt or a stud.

I'm wondering if I screwed it out and had a piece of flat iron with a hole in it and screwed it back in again, would it work to hold a bracket to mount a loader joy stick on.

The tractor I have doesn't have the electronic linkage controls as shown in the photo here

I don't know what that bolt is for, loader joysticks are normally fitted in front of the gear lever there is a bracket behind the panel, the operators manual will tell you where it is then the cables come up through the top edge of the floor mat. the tractor in your picture has previously had a loader fitted as you can see the holes in the padding when you look through the steering wheel.

You will need a much more robust mounting for a loader joystick than just one bolt. Due to gear levers and handbrake position I don’t think you can use the seat base mounting bolts tgerefore will have to remove the front of the console and do as mentioned above

I know the joy stick is mounted on the mudguard to the front of the gear sticks, but I don't want to make holes in the padding, I want to leave the padding original without holes in it and also I think it is to far forward to be reaching for the joystick all the time. I want too mount it closer to the seat and I am going to make the bracket in such a way that you can remove the joy stick when it is not being used and place it to the side out of the way.

I have a bracket mounted on to the base of the seat but as you say the biggest problem is the position of the levers. I was looking this morning where I was going to position the lever and how I was going to bring the up right post up from the base that I noticed the bolt on the side and thought that might work easier.

There is another two bolts further back but aren't very clear in that photo.

That is similar to how my one is done. The bolts near the back of the window aren't threaded that strongly from what I rember, as I used to put the hedge trimmer controls on them.
Mounted like that , my arm rests nicely on the armrest so makes using the joystick easier for repetitive work like bale loading.
I did modify the bracket a bit to bring and angle it closer to the armrest as initially it was too far away.

I think you will need to do it in the normal way as others have suggested.Doing what you are thinking of will be very awkward for cable routing.
