Although wool coming off can be due to lack of nutrition, again observance is key
I agree with you there. Just was a little confused, there is so much choice nowadays... Will doDon't fall for the marketing and sales promotion, we will need these drug formulations to work, well into the future, for sustainable sheep production.
Consult your vet for recommendations.
Anyone found a better price? It's around £390 for 2.5l around here...
Jesus! Is that the same drug as zolvix?

Panacur 5litre $125.80
Combination sheep drench $250/20litre
Ivomec cattle pour-on $250/5litre

Quite happy to stick with organic for now..
No, zolvix has abermectin plus another active, might be montepantel? or something?Jesus! Is that the same drug as zolvix?
Zolvix active is monepantel and over here it's the sole active. I think you guys have it as a combi too now?No, zolvix has abermectin plus another active, might be montepantel? or something?
I will try to find it, it's been around for a while here but not often used/needed as most drenching programmes are pretty effective. Usually a clear drench then a combi then a mectin.. by that stage they shouldn't need much else IME. FEC has stopped most routine drenching.
I gave some ewes a pre-lamb mineral drench a week or two back helping a mate - possibly the first time I've wormed an adult animal in 25 years or more.
Yes, with abamectin, will get a price for you guys tomorrow, purely for interests' sake.Zolvix active is monepantel and over here it's the sole active. I think you guys have it as a combi too now?
Do you use toxovax? Be interesting to know the price of that to!Yes, with abamectin, will get a price for you guys tomorrow, purely for interests' sake.
I don't think many here would pay the equivalent price that you have to pay over there!
I am no wormer expert by any means
Yes, I gave my ewe lambs a toxo because of all the cats I'm not allowed to shoot!!Do you use toxovax? Be interesting to know the price of that to!
I can buy direct from our western state of Australia with one click so I don't see why not.I assume it's illegal to order animal health products from NZ?

That's a lot more realistic @neiloThat drench would be more comparable to the likes of Animec (0.8mg/ml of ivermectin), which is £96 for 12.5L in Wynnstay (with a FOC drenching gun), so not quite such a huge difference in price maybe?
Was there much of a saving on the campyvac? It would be illegal without an import licence from our vet, who presumably can't sign off importing a product that is actually available here. Could perhaps get a licence for Zolvix Plus, but not Zolvix? By the time you'd paid shipping though, it would probably be as dear as here. Cessnas don't fly for nothing you know.
I imported some Campyvac from NZ last year, and was surprised that the import licence was so simple and only cost me a tenner from the vet. Cost of refrigerated shipping could be a lot higher of course, and often as much as the drug itself, unless you know someone that can act as a 'mule', and willing to bring a cool box with them. Customs just wave it through if it has the proper import documentation.

Got given the dregs of a friend's toxo-- think he said it was around $1.80 per dose? £1? But could be well out. I'll ring the vet club and get some prices, anyone else?
Kevtherev might have to crank up the Cessna yet, bring me some sacks of sainfoin seeds and backload some cheap drench
