New question on the Pig Licence

Is it just me or has there been a new question introduced on the pig licence form?

Something about 'has these pigs been kept since birth in premises where measures are in place to contain these animals within specific controlled buildings or enclosures'

On the finished form it says that these animals have been seperated from cloven hooved wild animals since birth (yes or no)

So is this an EU thing? ASF thing? Paranoia? working to identify outdoor herds?

To do with export requirements after 1st Jan. Our marketing group sent an email requesting that we all made sure we were compliant for deliveries from post Christmas.

Yes, and a question to confirm that you have a current quarterly vet report. I think it was pre-empting the new trade deal, especially the one about cloven hooved wild animals. (wild boar aren't too common in this neck of the woods, but there are some deer).

I didn't see one about a quarterley vet report, not being RT I don't have one.

Ditto. Didn't take long to sort. Our vet probably had a million forms to sign, so it was all very efficient.

If this is the biggest thing to come out of Brexit, I'll be happy.

ETA, as far as outdoor herds go, I don't think that's the point. All our vet's declaration says is that our animals are fenced into appropriate enclosures. No matter that wildlife pass through on a regular basis. As long as the pigs stay in their paddock, we're ok. :ROFLMAO:

My conscience is clear on that one. Deer keep away from the pigs once they realise that they are there.
