New Year, new agronomist?

Reading various posts on TFF, you get the impression that a lot of farmers are a bit frightened of their agronomists, or/and they don't like the advice they give, not least because many advisors seem to have convinced themselves that no-till won't work on your farm, or could it be that they worry that you might spend less on chemicals if you cross over to the light side? With this in mind, we've set up a kind of dating service for farmers to meet up with agronomists who understand and support the principles of Conservation and Regenerative Agriculture:

We've had a lot of fun interviewing the chosen ones, they are a very inspiring and forward looking mob. It doesn't cost anything to explore this option, get in touch with us and we'll put you on touch with one of them and take it from there...you pay them for as much or as little advice that you need. Some people just want someone to walk their farm one morning and discuss how to make some changes, others want the full independent agronomy service. We are also setting up more bench-marking groups in different areas round the country, using the model created by Gary Markham of Land. Family, Business, to enable farmers to ensure that their farms are not only physically improving, but also financially resilient. The future could be so bright, this could make it happen for you...

For those of you who like to think about the financial side of things, here's a fifteen minute presentation by Gary Markham on the results of harvest 2019 from the Groundswell benchmarking group, comparing this cohort of 12 no-till farms against his other clients in the area (presenting over 100,000 ha arable land).

He's an accountant and business/family adviser rather than an agronomist. Good chap, I have a lot of time for Gary, not that I've had any professional dealings, but he is not just a numbers man unlike some so called business advisers.

I have BASIS but an agronomist keeps me more up to date than I can just walking my own farm as he is doing lots of individuals with a range of crops, soil types and systems to consider. I appreciate help with N max and Ag chem legalities,Crop assurance etc which may be taken for granted,
Advice and moneysavings on agchems, cultivations and ferts are also welcome.

We're not all as clever as you
The agronomist that does my modest requirement is 'in tune' with what fits here, nice Chap too.
but in the past ive found the best way to communicate with some of them is to keep asking them to take back some of the over the top stuff that they send out for you to use , they soon got fed up with that and cut back to a bare basic. :ROFLMAO::unsure:
