Any one had trouble with the Traction belts?
We seem to be eating them, even though the machine is serviced by New Holland Fitters.
Even now the top belt is slack and the lower one, down to the gear box is real tight.

traction belts can be a bugger to set up properly if you dont know what youre doing , different make here but same idea , buggered belts before putting on a bit more tension , better running them slack as long as they dont slip , you may also find that when the combine is running that the slack belt gains tension but sort of kicks when turning the engine off and gives the impression that the belt is slack when you check and out of the cab , hope this makes sense , get my neighbour to check mine now as they are a bugger
