Why? I See plenty of people wanting jobs on farms and I would say 95% are good lads,so what's your point

Why is HJ 100% Eastern Europeans then?
My point - my dad started an engineering co when I was 10. I had to leave school at 16 to help out, the business was a good one, from my school year we employed 8 lads.
I left that company to start farming many years ago, however it has dwindled due to the fact no Brit wants to stand at a bench watching mig wire burn (makes sense, it's a :poop: job), even despite the fact my dad being a member of the bnp, he tried to keep it going with Poles but gave up as in his opinion their English was t good enough.
We peaked at around 60 employees, now 4, the youngest in their 50's = no future

Because Blair and his ilk, encouraged the education system to make sure it was purely academics and nothing practical, if you wanted to do something practical, you were a thicko, or the option just wasn't there, i know, i went through it

Now we've got f**k all builders, f**k all carers and f**k all farmers, but we've got plenty of people stacking shelves on min wage with a media degree , it's going to take literally years to overturn this thinking now

What was he building, around here plenty of engineering companies still going admittedly not like it was years ago when we had Ruston buycrus and other heavy industry but time have changed. I Would say within a 50 mile radius of here you could get most implements made to run a farm,I still don't get your point unless you think that once we leave no one will be allowed here to work

Even if they are allowed, will they want to? Simple physiology, every one wants to feel wanted, yes, even Eastern Europeans!

Edit to answer your question.
We didn't have a product but specialised in subcontract work almost entirely for the large scale construction industry.

We have Eastern Europeans because when Politicians made it easier for them to work in UK while at the same time making it harder for non EU's to get work permits.

Not knocking our European workers at all but it was in many ways better before, as the commonwealth nations in the main spoke good English.

The Language is a battle every day now, for the UK staff as well as the management.

That's the problem with the Whole EU thing 28 nations 28 languages, 28 cultures, what ever could go wrong ?

Well I know it, I have inside info

On Bloomberg now, BMW looking at moving production of the Mini to EU:cry:
All the more reason for the government, and parliament in particular, grow a brain and work out fast how we can duplicate a customs arrangement such as what Norway have with the EU while outside the customs union.

I suppose. I actually thought it was a great country in the sixties, not that bad in the 70's. Certainly by the end of the 80's I thought it was shot. Looking at that timing, maybe your correct and it's all down to being in the eu? Then again, it was the uk begging to join for so many years:scratchhead:

The FT hasn't got a clue, nor was i suggesting that it was simple, that's half the issue here, people looking to jump on others, on the slightest thing they do know, to point score.

Nor do i have access to that paywall, if you want some proper brexit analyse, go to here, starting wih this

http://peterjnorth.blogspot.co.uk/2017/03/yes-brexit-is-mess-so-what.html

Not looking to point score or jump on you. Bit touchy aren't you? Why do you imply I am thicker than you for holding a different opinion?
