NH TS Calibration Tool

nhquestion

I need to calibrate the do transmission on a ts100, I'm sure there was a thread on the old forum explaining how to make your own switch and calibrate the gearbox, does anyone here know how? No way of accessing old forum?

Thanks

If its just a standard clutch pack calibrate you are needing to do then you don't need any special tools.

It tells you how in the operators manual.

Never done a TS, but from memory, on a 40series you hold down both up and down buttons on the gear stick and start her up, dash reads CAL.

I think its handbrake on, clutch down, both gear levers and shuttle forward, clutch up and it shouldn't move. Set throttle at 1200rpm and make sure A/c is off.
Press up button and hold it and the figure on the dash will climb till it drops the engine revs a fraction and thats it set, do same for the down button and thats it set too. Switch off and restart to save the settings in computer. Thats maybe not exactly right, but the book definitely has it.

If its more complicated stuff, like fill times and the bite points, etc, then you need a tool to go on the plug next to fuse box.
Not hard to make using an old brake pedal switch and a couple of panel pins soldered to a bit of speaker wire. Same one does the TM as well.
You need to have a workshop book really, as there is a lot of codes and numbers which mean very little till you have a reference with you.

It doesn't say anything in the manual, only to contact your dealer for dual power version. But I've tried holding both buttonts but CAL won't come up.

I only have a 40series operators manual and workshop service manual.

Will post up the calibration bits out of them tomorrow.
Always thought the TS series were the same as the 40series, perhaps not.

Is it a TS or a TSA we are talking about here??

And Stuart is right the oil has to be over 40deg to calibrate, but it will still go in to that mode and then throw a temperature error code meaning too cold.

I've made my own tool to access the diagnostics and stuff, what menu do I need and where do I go from here. Menus run h1-h9 and ha and b. Thanks for everyone's help so far.

Right, if I have done this right there should be a PDF file from the TS workshop manual with the section about the diagnostic menus there.
Read it carefully before you go into the H menu.
Be careful with what you mess with, and stay away from H8.
Other than that you are on your own!!!! :)

Hope this helps you out.

Does anyone know where I can buy the whole workshop manual on CD for the TS. There's plenty for 40 series and TSA on eBay but none for TS.

Hi just looking at your thread what Colour wires do you connect the tool/press button switch in2..??any help would be great thanks...

Can't remember the colours but if you look at the square plug when its pulled out the side of the dash next to the fuse box its the two wires nearest the centre.

Think there is a small rectangle locating pin in the middle, if you hold it so the rectangle is on its side, its the wires top and bottom of the rectangle.
Never had a TS, assume its same as a 40series.
I have a home made tool with a couple of panel pins soldered to a bit of speaker wire and then an old brake pedal switch. Every press moves you around the menus.
