Hello.

We have just bought a new holland tx 34. It looks alright, runs nicely, little smokey at full chat but she is old and so that's to be expected really. Does anybody know how the cab trim is fixed to the roof? It has kind of come down a bit so my head is brushing on it. Not a problem for dad but I'm a bit taller! Also does anybody know where I can get a digital copy of the manual? The book that came with it is a bit fally apart.

Thanks

James

It's not too bad, just when you rev her and when you have her full chat. Slightly bluish maybe?

Bigger problem is pull to stop. It kind of doesn't. You have to really pull it to make it stop the engine. I think it can be adjusted on the end of the cable where it meets the pump, slacken off the nut but then what? Also the reel reverse doesn't work (unless we are doing it wrong, but it should be the foot pedal right?) and we can't work out what lever does the reel in and out (not up and down)

Thanks

The double ended foot pedal on mine does the reel in and out.Header reverse could be disabled cos its crap, welded up on mine, but is worked by the extra lever to your left, but only reverses the auger anyway

Header reverse is hold the button and put foot on the pedal on ours.

Open the hatch in the roof to look then I put a couple of bolts up to hold the head lining up.

the lever does reel in and out. foot pedal just dont do anything at all. perhaps it is disconected. Do any of you chaps have a manual you could maybe scan?

Also how would i go about adjusting the pull to stop so it doesnt do the surgy thing?

thanks

Get someone to work the stopper in and out when the engines not running while your at the engine and spray some wd40 type stuff on the cable should free it up a bit. Ours stiffens up every few years

do you find you cant get her to stop because it is too hard to pull it the last bit? or do you find it is just all stiff?

The ATF will help slightly lube the pump and injectors and clean her up a bit

ive always managed to get it to stop but my dad struggles when it gets stiff, he has some thick string tied on for a bit of extra pull or it just ends up rumbling for a bit till he manages.

Anybody know what the two little orange lights are? on the board with all the lights (oil warning and parking brake warning etc). Also when we last tried the foot pedal did not move the reel in and out, any ideas on what might be wrong? And finally, the auto height button, how does that work? (the one on the back of the header height lever)
