If 6 litres of diesel have went into the oil it would surely be obvious as the contents of the sump will be like black diesel?
There's probably a transmission oil cooler in the radiator but if it failed you would have oil in the coolant rather the the sump. Likely to be the injectors that need sorting.A lot more soot being produced from the contaminated oil,blocking the DPF,although AFAIK that same light will be on for regen.
