North Lincolnshire micro dairies

There's a guy with an on farm vending machine on the A18 twixt Thorne and Scunthorpe but unless rules have changed then Raw milk (which is what most of the micro dairies do) cannot be sold via a third party - Also Glass bottles are a nightmare through a shop unless the dairy factors in the cost of a new bottle to the selling price to the retailer 'cos they WILL NOT consistently get returned for washing and sanitizing by the general public.

According to our milk buyer (glass bottles 10’s of millions of litres for doorstep delivery) unless a bottle is reused 20+ times then a recyclable plastic bottle is better carbon footprint wise.
I did calculate that with the extra weight of glass we would need an extra van on the road, which blows out of the water any benefit from glass

Problem you have is very few dairy farms near you. Think there are only about 20 in Lincs

Becky near Beverly (Is that about 20 miles ? ) has an on farm vending machine. Havn`t a clue if she would be interested in doing something at your place.
Have a chat she may have some suggestions

Sorry everyone I really am ignorant about all this. I had heard of raw milk but never thought about it, I only said a micro dairy because I was thinking that they would produce less milk in quantity and there was a chance there would be one nearer to Barton-Upon-Humber. Does any of the small (see where I got micro from) dairies sell wholesale to small shops the same type of milk I can buy Tesco?

If possible do not sell the same product , especially milk, as Tesco in your community farm shop. Keep looking for niche products not available in the big stores. Acorn dairies have distributers over a wide area for their organic milk. Give them a call and see if they have someone within reach of you. https://www.acorndairy.co.uk/
