£640 + 5% premium +vat,,could have bought a new one for that

I only went for the old wolsey rotovator but it went for 150+ and then it wanted a few ££ spending on it ,

Buyers premium , has this always been a Southern (South of the Humber) thing ? Not many sales in Yorkshire charge it .

Aren't that them vacs about £2,000 new? Most round North Yorkshire way are 5% commission

Auctioneers love saturday sales ,,more people bidding ,prices go silly ,auctioneers make more money.
Also ,lots of small lots to start with instead like today ,,a few plough parts ,then another few instead of putting them all together making a decent lot

North side of Hundred foot river paid, south didn't, now some Auctioneers charge it and some don't regardless of location

I was under bidder . I drove that tractor off the lorry when it was brand new. I had hoped to buy it for my son as his grandfather is no longer with us . But had to have a limit .

Ugly side of capitalism- when some one who wants to preserve an antique and is prepared to pay a good price: is outbid by those only interested in profiteering.

Did anybody take a look at the flyer pined to the barn door about there next sale,,I only glanced at it ,was it March 16th,,their web site isnt updating
