That's the problem with most voters over here, they follow their tribal instincts. No way Ian jnr would still be standing in mainland, wouldn't have a hope of getting re-elected. Any normal country would have the DUP and SF voted out years ago for their lack of responsibility to the electorate.
As for Brexit, even Farage says we'd be better off staying where we are than leaving with Boris's deal.
Don't think Ian's holidays cost the tax payer much. What politicians in the mainland do you look up to then?

Very well said sir. We really have no politicians over here worth tuppence. All they want is to feel important, draw all the monetary perks and do sweet Fanny Adams at the end of the day.
There’ll be a pile of boys from Paisley-Country writing here now to say how wonderful the DUP are. The RHI scandal showed their true colours.

I know it might not seem like it, but at least the UK politicians work for their wages. How much business has been lost in NI because of Stormont not sitting (and still getting paid from our tax), all because of an ancient language and gay marriage. If you like your mp crooked then Ian's yer man. But at least he goes to Westminster. And people opposed to Brexit will still vote for the SF abstentionists.
All they want to do is further their own cause.

From the Irish Times

"Sinn Féin says it wants to get the Assembly up and running to make the case against Brexit, but what exactly is stopping them from doing that? The DUP says it will return with no preconditions. Sinn Féin could revive the Assembly and table a motion in favour of the withdrawal agreement – there is, after all, an anti-Brexit majority in the Assembly. It would defuse Johnson’s claims about the anti-democratic nature of the backstop if a majority of the elected representatives of the people of Northern Ireland were voting in favour of it.
Unfortunately Sinn Féin continues to use Brexit as a Trojan horse for a united Ireland. The approach is quite at odds with the party’s occasional paeans to unionists that it wishes to persuade and accommodate them with full respect and facility in a new Ireland. But then again, if you were serious about talking to unionists about a united Ireland, you wouldn’t have made Gerry Adams your frontbench spokesman on Irish unity, would you?
On Thursday, Sinn Féin, the Greens, the SDLP and the Alliance circulated a letter they had written to Tusk confirming their support for the backstop. But what’s the point in signing letters when you could be in the Assembly speaking for the people of Northern Ireland?"

The silver spoon has done him no good that's for sure. Who do you recommend?

Leave.EU (@LeaveEUOfficial) Tweeted: Brexiteer Ian Paisley has been fighting for Brexit and for our Union for years in Parliament. This election is key - make sure he gets returned on December 12 by backing his crowdfunder at https://t.co/aMitAUYmXa
