Great drying here now, hope everyone gets the same. Just have to take the chance and hope. When it goes wrong I take comfort that I made the right decision with available information! Then blame Barra Best!

Got ours finished last night what a crop of stuff filled 3 pits, 1st stuff we lifted maybe not as dry as you’d like but all in all it turned out well

Cut back the same don’t know why it was so heavy for only middle of may

Grass is heavier here for the middle of May, cut back 25kg on the fert and was about 10 days later of sowing. Mild winter has helped I think, very little frost or snow or maybe we've sowing too much fert for years.

Does anyone remember the old Richardson leaflet? Use to recommend 4 bags per acre of Two Sward for each cut.

Don't know the reason, but I find when mowing round the country some seasons grass is thicker and some seasons slurry grows more grass than usual. This season seems to be both. Didn't get ours in but contractor is 500 acre closer at least. Just need an accurate good forecast!

Granda told me the recommended to sow ground a week before it was cut to get the next cut coming again for a while
