Not really a dairy issue, but store lambs in Ballymena this evening going for next to nothing.

Anybody out there with any grass going spare needs to get a clatter bought.

Always seem to be dearer when the sales start, then settle down a bit as more folk get supplied.

Grass, or lack of, is bound to be a factor too you'd think.

Not as desperate here as south and east UK but it's hardly shooting out of the ground either.

It all ultimately feeds in to the equation.

Better off letting some other mug do the donkey work and you can hunt him when the time comes, unless it's family of course.

Can anybody get urea? All merchants tell me they have none and nothing coming. Check out the fertiliser price tracker thread and all farmers across the water are getting their urea delivered now or over the winter. Paying a much better price than us for CAN. Quoted £695 today.

A rising market. As I said, quoted 695 today,paid 650 last week. English market 750 for urea ????

They are fishing for more money. Sell a few loads, then withdraw quotes. Sit tight for a week, then release and few more loads at 20 quid more. If buyers appear, withdraw again and repeat process, presumably until run out of fresh buyers. It's price discovery as they would call it in the financial markets.
