A neighbour rolled the dice on Wednesday and mowed. Its seen a lot of rain and hail both nights since.
Yeah but its well worth it cause once he gets it in he can look down his nose at all the other neighbours that hasnt it cut thinkin hes smarter as he has his grass in 🙈 theres nothin makes a man want to cut grass more than seein his neighbour cuttin his

Southern man's nightmare..14 springers in the house in May. My opinion,at least they're in calf and they can finish up the dung in the back of the silo.

The boys that have cut haven't gained much, the ones haven't cut yet haven't lost much. Brown frosted grass won't make great silage in my opinion. Any cut ground I see isn't greening up again, some of it is whiter than the day it was mowed.

Do you reckon the brown grass will grow out prior to cutting in 2-3 weeks? If not maybe better cutting at a smaller bulk now and focusing on a good second cut. Hard to know roll the dice and see.

It may not grow out of it but it's the 7th of May, no need to panic yet. Wee willy hit the nail on the head 2nd cut never seems to feed as well no matter how well it analyses. A showery week would help the grass and calm the nerves.
