I did't know where to post this - so here goes. Local Knowledge needed. We are going to be in the area and thought it would be a nice day out.

We won't know anyone but considering getting a membership so at least we could sit down and watch the main arena events. And - what is the food like as also considering booking the lunch.

Plenty places to grab food and sit down imnot a member so cant comment on the members tent but you can watch all the events quite easily without being a member

Used to be my favourite show of the year, looked forward to it right through lambing but I cant get away with the new venue. Train trip to the old site at Tyndale rugby club, day at the show, few beers in the rugby club, followed by a night in corbridge and a train trip home. Bad to beat for a day out.

For the curious it’s Saturday 25th May
Looks like it’s at Bywell, but the map shows Hexham Mart.

went last year for the first time in ages, got there early to miss the traffic queues, so early that i was in 2nd row of car park and some stalls weren't open when i went past them, i was around it in an hour n a half and that was stopping to speak with a couple of people i knew, granted i didn't stop to watch and events in the ring as they started about an hour later and it was quite a warm day, so i went back to a couple of stalls i wanted a few things at, grabbed a cheese burger and a drink then left, won't be rushing back

It’s a good show. We are usually wrecked after lambing and usually have the cattle out which hits me like a hammer getting out of that routine. A good weekend to meet up with folk and get into the beer tent head back to Hexham later
