Nooh, go and get her a rescue dog. Tell her it needs TLC. Give her something to look after. Rescue a Whippet, they love being with people and clean coats toomy 80 yr old mum lost her fat spaniel last week...she doesn't want another dog so we're thinking of a cat.. we have sheep so toxoplasmosis wise what is the best to get?,,,neutered boy?

Agree on the rescue dog but not so much a whippet. Whippet rescues in the UK have waiting lists at the moment (as do breeders), and while they do love being with people and look dainty they can be fierce hunters off-lead. Mine used to chase and herd deer back to me, presumably expecting me to bring it down so he could finish it off. I must have been such a disappointment to him.Nooh, go and get her a rescue dog. We have a cat , but he'd be no good for an older person looking for company. He suits himself and spends most of his time in the hay.
If he gets the soays heāll want the rope for hanging himself after theyāve escaped through another rabbit holeA rescue collie?
Company for mum, plus an assistant for spin?
[Edit to add: spin has plenty of rope to make a long lead so the dog can train him safely ]
You offering?Or a toyboy .

Anyway, I'm not sure @spin cycle needs a speedy free-range assassin about the place as he has enough on his plate with his Norfolk Hurdlers. A fat older cat would be less hassle.
