Hi all
New to the group, I've just purchased an a 79' international 475, I've dipped the stick which is by your left foot and it's showing no oil in the back end, what would you recommend I use for the age tractor. Also does the back end oil run the power steering as I notice a slight weep from the ram
Cheers

I've got a 475 and use John Deere Hygard in the back end and Plus11 in the engine. But you can use any UTTO oil in the back end, IH tell you to use Hytran.
Morris liquamatic HY is the preferred.

Your tractor hasn’t got a torque amplifier so a good multipurpose oil will be fine
Especially in an older model like yours

Must have been one of the last (79) Perkins engine as well. Can’t see a photo of it though ?

Great tractors. I had one. Wish I'd still got it. For 62 hp it pulled like a train. The Perkins engine was far better than the IH engine. Not many about now.
