We had a few cans of outdated stuff taken away a couple of years ago through a company Frontier sorted out for us, might be worth a call if you deal with them at all?

Disposal of 2l of Fuego with an old MAPP number is going to cost £170 - mostly transport to an incinerator in (I think) Southampton. Expensive oversight.

Is Cimmarron out of date now? i have an inspection on Thursday:confused:

Put it in your garden shed now FFS!

Then use it up as you would normally.

Agronomist should be checking your chem store and doing this for you on a regular basis, I had to: half my clients wouldn't have a clue what anything was and relied on me to use it up or give it to someone else to keep them on the straight and narrow.

Have a look around your spray store. Use one of the databases in here to check to see if they are still approved http://www.hse.gov.uk/pesticides/topics/databases.htm If you have Gatekeeper Sentinel you can type in the MAPP number to check the approval. Just because the product is still on sale does not mean your MAPP number is still ok.

My RT inspector is Grahame Booth who knows what to look for on labels to see if they are out of date. Does he do your patch too?

I got caught out back in March, inspectors nearly jump for joy at finding the wrong mapp numbers.
Always even more galling if the product is still in use but a different mapp number, still a fail.
Anyway I used this chap,
Carl Lundberg
Field Chemicals Ltd
Tel 01933 675482
He was very efficient and reasonably priced, make sure whoever does it writes down the offending chemicals on the receipt sheet.

Grahame has been coming here a number of years, he did find something I had missed a few years ago, wasnt difficult to get it shifted.

Bringing this one back to life, caught out with a change of MAPP number, agronomist missed it as well, been trying to persuade NSF it was better to be used where it was designed for, but alas no movement, still made and by the same company, which hurts.
Any suggestions where to look for the correct disposal companies ? NSF have lost the plot and given me 2 days to get it sorted and the paperwork emailed back to them

Agronomist should have been on the ball with this and using up stuff at intervals to keep people on the straight and narrow. Most of my clients would not have the time to fudge about in chemical stores. It needs to be used up safely and appropriately.

Really getting fed up with the audit companies being heavy handed. 2 days at this time is just ridiculous. I have been in the same position @Adeptandy, ended up using a local company I googled, unfortunately you are a little farm from me to recommend them.

There are a few who do the collection and it was not stupid money. I would get on google. Good luck.

2 days in the current climate is out of order. Pure and simple.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
