My late uncle had a hoe almost identical to the one pictured with the steering wheel and proper box. He never used it for some reason. I remember in the earlt 60s climbing on to it to pretend it was a tractor. I changed gear much more than one would on a hoe! I don't think it was a Fergie. Went to farm sale with Dad in the late 60s. Steerage hoe making 2 quid scrap money and Dad bought it. "That will be useful for your Uncle" Dad said. It stood next to the other one for the next 35 years.
