Put in postcode and it links to local council.

Devon lists them with opening hours , platform size, capacity and cost

I looked into going public , apart from the course we would have to take to get the correct certificate, not sure if all staff would need it . I decided that we would not be busy enough to warrant it . I did often thinking of putting one in by Cross Hands Roundabout, all those straw lorries passing daily with no where local to weigh

If it was a public weigh bridge, would that mean the plod and VOSA could bring unscrupulous types in transit tippers into your yard for a look round?
I used to work on a farm with a public weighbridge just off the m25. The police used it and used to pull in a lot of vans returning from booze cruises to France. They unloaded it at farm till at legal weight and never came back for it! We didn't purchase much alcohol.

That's worse than running a pub or milking cows!

Can you choose your own hours?
I think the point is, if you already have the weighbridge for your own use and staff in the yard you might as well do it to get a bit more. Either way you still have to maintain it and do weights and measures for your own use. You wont get rich but its surprising over a few years how some publicity builds up custom of motor homes, caravans etc.
