Opico grass Harrow won’t unfold

We bought a used set of grass harrows from a sale for not a lot of money so we’re expecting issues. They won’t unfold. The lever you pull with rope from the cab is free. The hydraulic pipe and fitting is fine. We can see the ram moving very slightly but it won’t open out. Anybody got any ideas please? I’ve attached a couple of pictures.

As in hydraulics? The coupling is free and releases oil if you press the end. We’ve tried it in two tractors so know the tractors are fine as they work with other equipment.

Probably oil is the wrong side in the ram. Need more pictures

I'd try putting the airline on the valve on that accumulator
I'd guess it uses compressed air to set it unfolding rather than a spring

dave could be correct but it could be pivot pins seized so suggest encourage with ratchet strap on tree or loader if careful driver. Also check latch properly released before putting pressure on

yes this I did away with mine and used double acting hydraulics

Plenty!
Or rather enough to m as me it fold down at a steady speed. They'll only need to move a foot before gravity takes over

8-10 bar when unfolded will be written on the yellow label on the accumulator.

I bet the pivot pins are bent had this with ours when someone borrowed it

It wouldn’t unfold at 4 bar as I’ve only just seen your reply. I’ll try it higher.

To use it we disconnected the ram and held the wings up with a ratchet strap. We didn’t need to though as they just sat there and it was quite a job to get the wings down so I’m guessing this is the issue.
