Haven't seen a CSFB at all this year. Last year the trailer and store was alive with them. Can't believe the difference. But why?

Finished the OSR today ,Extrovert looks like being 0.5 t/ha down on the Wembley . A complete opposite of last year but pretty pleased with yields over all . Just waiting for the oils results to come back .

True to form, as my neighbours are finishing I'm just getting started! Campus, the good bits are good, the bad are bad, overall doing average. A bit on the dry side but Iooking at the forecast it's not going to be a problem having some wetter to blend in.

Just in (well, had a plate of fish fingers before typing this) from getting 110ac of OSR in today. So we are 145ac down with 220ac left to go, and that wont be ready for a week.

That's Martin's daughter driving the combine & he is a TFF member. She'll rate highly on the "does your Dad own a brewery" scale (Look up Kevin Bloody Wilson songs on Youtube)

I'd like to see what a weighbridge weights from that, not just counting the tank loads*, but Mr Lole is flogging his drill system here ;) It does look a good crop though.

* See "Pub Yields" section of the Harvest 2017 thread!

looks like it has branched well, and finding in our campus this year that the thinner crop(although even plant numbers) has performed as good as the thick crops that I thought had way more potential! One thing about rape, always keeps us guessing!

Not really, well branched rape is always higher yielding. Thick crops produce plants that look like spring rape, and we all know how that yields.

Just got back on the go, moisture about 10 so should blend in with the dry stuff I did yesterday.

Edit. One load off and tested more thoroughly at 10.7 and it's spitting with rain so stopped again.
