Made a start today into some Campus that had started to go very flat in places .
So far fairly pleased with the yield 11.99 ha has filled a bay ( crica 55 -60 ton) and at 66-68 k hl weight 9 - 10 % moisture.

Will know in a few days when united oilseeds pick it all up how its done. The seed is defiantly bolder than the last few years.
Really looking forward to getting into the Barbados tomorrow as it has looked better all year .

I've got vista to cut this year at home , has looked well all year till podding time , I have a feeling that the yield meter will want a bit of duct tape sticking over it so I don't get depressed ,,,,,,, but as always rape has the habit of surprising you , but no pub yields for me this year I fear !!!!!

Very jealous here all rape failed on the farm as it did in the district. Seriously though, sounds like some good yields about . Rape not an easy crop to grow now. you've worked hard for it you deserve it , Will continue to read with interest, Rape harvest progress and try to keep a green tinge out of my eye!

Well it has all done ok will know full and final weights when it goes this next week some sold for harvest movement some going long in a pool all going off farm as and when ready for collection .
Barbados stood better and think it has yielded better than campus here . It is all off the heap seed and a spread ,scratch and see establishment .

Have to say early indications look like yield is nothing special

Margin should still be good though as no inputs applied other than herbicide and nitrogen so has been a pretty cheap crop

. First trailer load. Cabbage stem flea beetle crawling up the side. Luckily very few on second trailer now we're away from the headlands. Had very few issues with this pest over past few seasons but shows they are around.

Hardly a beetle to be found in the store this year usually they are crawling out of the oilseed rape . What I have noticed when testing the moisture in a Marconi the amount of oil that is coming out of it when pushing out the ground sample never known so much have to wash your hands after so fingers crossed for a good oil bonus .
