image.jpg image.jpg last load just left resulting in 76.3 tons from 44.8 acres. Down half a ton on last year. We had to much water held up over Christmas and in March.

Mentor, 90 acres planted, estimated 120 tons harvested.
Quite happy having heard the reports of others.
My neighbour says he cut 1.7 tons pa. off clean land. Of course he has forgotten the field he redrilled with beans in the spring.

Interested to see ADHB Rec List trials don't dip below 5t/ha?
Yes I know they use best bits of land etc, but there are better farmers than them who haven't touched 4t anywhere
Any sites which had significant issues which would affect the homogeneity of the site (and therefore possible reduce yield), would have been cancelled before harvest. For example pigeon damage, csfb damage, drought, differences in establishment etc... If a whole trial was affected, then the site may still continue, but often these effects can be localised, so introduce another variable into the trials.

Well we just started our rape last night. We have 120 acre to cut in total.
Cutting at 9-10%. And the yield meter is saying 1.00-1.50/t/acre. So I reckon it may average 1.25 t/ac. Which, is in line with our farms average.
It's not as good as some on here. But it does give an ( early) cash crop and a clean entry into first wheat.
Gatekeeper tells me it's cost £322/ha variable costs:- which breaks down to
£63/ha seed , £110/ha fertilizer and rest pesticides.

Rape 5.14 t/ha at 9% adjusted over 82ha planted.
Worst 4.8 in 20ha next to a wood with 2ha poor.
Best field 6.2t/ha home saved Anastasia in a good field at home with ample supply of pig excrement over the years.
All sown early September with Rapid drill after barley at around 35 seeds/m2.

Well you win the early versus late sowing of OSR competition then! I'd still like you to come down at drill OSR in early September on our ground and see how you get on.

1.9t to the acre of Exalt, dried and over the weighbridge. Am mostly happy but was hoping for 2t as it has had everything but the kitchen sink thrown at it. the better field would be well over but the lesser one brought it down :( Not helped by pigeons. On the plus side last time this field was in rape it did about 10cwt :(

Yes very pleased with it, a lot easier to get depth control of seed right, banged in 250 acres of osr this back end and it's gone real well. A bit more maintenance than the Claydon, but nothing too strenuous!!!
