been ringing round for a price of base, certainly isn't a well known one ! But, keen to try (anything) to combat the dry summers, sods law, it will pee down next year ! But, give us a quote, for straight, as we have a dry mix, which we are 'adding and subtracting'. The reality here, is a lack of moisture, now, you can see, to the line, changes in soil type, even in individual fields. Few years ago, we dug a trench, to find a water pipe, across some of our driest ground, and hit a couple of old stone drains, we had a laugh about them, as to why they were there, funnily, there just happens to be some green grass there now !!!

a question, we have been overseeding with a vaderstsat drill, and rolling behind it. However, been told, rolling behind the drill, is pushing the seed down to far, and it's best left, in the sheltered slit, and the drill, firms it up enough. As a rule, we always roll in grass seed, but can see, a bit of logic, in leaving it out. What, does the collective minds think ?

I'm reluctant to get involved in direct drilling discussions and your drill is not ours. We have very, good depth control on ours, but the man who advised me said roll everything if its dry, enough , may be wrong as I dont know your drill but if its not to deep at the start how can a,roller make it deeper. The T slot drill differs in that respect mind ، but think about it , seed needs to be in contact with the soil . Not to deep and be in a firm bed to avoid moisture loss. It always comes first around the gate, where its been run on
