Oh yes i have that on weigh ticket :banghead:
I wanted it a couple of weeks ago, now i have ewes and lambs everywhere. I ll just do what fields i can.
We have spread it on fields with stock in for years, they never seem to care. We tend to go little and often though ( 2cwt/acre) if this makes any difference.

From the spreader drivers point of view, lambs are a bit of a pain.

I don’t mind the gates or the faff of getting out occasionally to move settled stock, but if lambs get confused they seem to run towards the spreader.

I forgot to get a photo, but I was spreading lime the other day in a field where a young Scottish gal was turning out lambs. She got the Gator and trailer stuck in a wet spot so we towed her out with the Xerion!!!

Just about managed it.

Christ must have been some wet bit after all of this dry weather. I was sowing fert on some of our wettest ground yesterday, normally don’t get on this until May

I moved it into a shed now so need to worry about the rain. Yeah the lambs will be a pain so we ll probably just avoid those fields for now. Could get it on when we shut it off for silage.
Im going to put on 500kg/ha on the lowest fields.

Do I have to worry about it being washed out over the winter? Its still quite dry here at the moment but can get wet quickly

P and K essentially don't leach. They stick to soil particles. In fact, one of the top ways of losing P and K is allowing your soil to wash- soil particles leaving the field with your P and K still attached to it.

Looking at the photo posted above, the grass will grow on for a while yet and will overwinter better if there is some P and K about.
