Is there anyone out there who has a pallet collection service?
We have a stock of pallets on the yard, perfectly good, many only used once. However delivery drivers wont take them back.
Seems such a waste

You will shift a few on Facebook, and a few on eBay.
Some firms around here buy and sell them, have a Google for pallet companies in your area and ask them. At the very least they will take them for free but would expect something for them.

Use them in wood burners and kindling ect .

I remember visiting a few woodburner setups 10-12 years ago doing research on possibly having one here.

Happily I decided against one, but I recall one chap with a HUGE Farm 2000 boiler, who was burning vast numbers of pallets. He also showed me the buckets and buckets of steel nails that he put in a small skip which then went for scrap!

Get your point , I was thinking on log burner /Rayburn scale , I got supply of old stilage type pallet from steel sheet processor at min , made of 2x3 timbers , it's to good to burn really , only used once , 3 or 4 runners across x 2 runners at ends ,
Give em a smash with sledge and they all fall off , put em thru old bench saw , and cut either side of nails and bin them, the heat is unbelievable if takes the pee out of oak and ash !
