Parts for jd 6150r

I’m looking for a source for parts for my 6150r will be requiring wiring looms and all cables under the cab and possibly some electric spools. My tractor had a fire under the cab caused by a wiring loom a few months ago and we have decided to fix it rather than scrap it so hopefully I can source second hand parts to keep costs down. TIA

A tractor of that age generally wont have reached the breakers unless it had burnt or got written of so either way would u want the parts of it

If it’s written off there possibly be good parts

Nfu insurance bent and broken keep appearing at Adam Hewitt near Kidderminster. A few newer jd’s which look to have been rolled judging by the squashed cabs. He may be able to help with who is buying them at auction.

Could @john432 mabe source aftermarket looms? As breakers 1s will be half price of jd dealers new parts and theres a risk of it not bein right whereas an aftermarket new part might be nearer breakers prices anyway

These are big tractor breakers, but so many are fire damaged, and none of the OP's model . Correction, they have a 6150R, but fire damaged

Under cab fires are pretty common on these R - dust & straw etc accumulates under the exhaust heatshields.- a well known large contractor has fire balloons fitted to all his R series -approx 50 tractors having lost 3 to fires.

Personally i would have all new wiring looms and whatever else it needs from the serial number that will fit and be absolutely right. You do not want to be lifting the cab more than once! Get a list together and negotiate a stock order discount for the the lot from your dealer.

Ok so I think I’ll take yere advice and get new looms for it we stripped it today so hopefully get prices next week
