Peer to Peer renewble energy trading....

We've come across quite a few new companies springing up and offering PPA's on this basis, all with slightly different approaches to each other.

More often than not it involves more admin for the generator, with some asking for meter readings being submitted every 5 days, and fines being implemented if any deadlines are missed.

I've even seen a contract offer that included their liquidation policy, which I've never seen in a contract to a prospective customer before, which goes to show that they know their business model doesn't work should Ofgem close the transmission loophole they're currently capitalising on.

We've only come across one company to date offering this type of contract that we feel comfortable offering to our customers following our due diligence, as they offer a 100% fixed option as well as a semi fixed option with variable aspects, and offer a greater level of control to the generator with regards to who the energy is actually sold to. They operate at approximately 10% above current market level, so we feel comfortable offering this as a viable option to our customers that want to try something a bit different.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
