What is the ideal temps for winter wheat now?

It’s had a good dose of frosts last month but temps not rising much over 16 degrees for the next week with night temps down to 6 or 7 degrees.

Flag leaf just emerging and good ground moisture.

Wheat stops respiring at 27 degrees due to heat stress, I'd guess optimum growth will be under clear skies at 18 to 20 degrees.

I would had thought a tad warmer, wheats parent origins are from warmer climates than ours? Soil moisture availability and humidity also factor in to what is the optimum temperature for a given plant on a given day.
