Perkins Core Plug

Hi guys,
I am fitting a damper in an MF5445, split the tractor and have all the parts.
There's a core plug hiding in there, should I replace it?
Tractor is 2007 with a loader, quite a bit of work to split so just thinking I change the plug, rad water was brown but not excessive.
If so do you use sealant as well, hit in the new one with a socket that fits neat in the plug or neat on the rim?

I put a thin smear of RTV sealant around a core plug, and hit it with a socket that fits in it.

I put a smear of blue hylarmar on mine .
Cleaned hole with round brush on drill.
Loads of confusing vids on utube telling you totally different methods .
I hit the inner.
The sound changed when it was home.
