Is there a right and wrong way to send water/ milk through a plate cooler. Just got a used one and is not marked ?
Counter flow is the norm. Water in the same side as milk out. Is water and milk connections obvious? Brand model? If a good make with clipped in gaskets I would open it up an inspect. If fairly old may need new gaskets. If water was bad where it came from msy need cleaning. Have on in my truck that I am taking to the shop to clean the iron and rust that has plugged the water side. Milk side is clean but has wood chips in some spots. Will get some pics in a few minutes

We’ve got same cooler. Can put double flow in if you have sufficient water by removing the pipework at the top of pic. Make sure milk inlet at bottom so milk drains out
