Ploughing cultivated ground

I’ve got some ground that was cultivated in the autumn with the idea of putting grass in but got too wet for it. So the plan is to undersow grass in a crop of maize this spring. Planning on ploughing the cultivated ground for the maize, bad idea or not?

Ploughing would unlikely be your problem but planting maize which hates competition with grass would be sacrificing the maize. Which ever crop you want plant on its own. Plus weed control would be simpler.
if me I’d grow the maize then get the grass in.
