Good going! 27t/ac @ near £300t av means you must be looking for another farm to buy? :)

Think our average sold yield will be almost 10t/ac less and sale price 2/3. Not finished yet though, will count up at the end.

Average price was £265. I can't see our Agria being anywhere near, probably 10t acre less. Piper will be around 20t acre sold I reckon. Still got a few months to go on those two varieties.

Loading a few contracted Dell out gradually, at a good bit less than the prices quoted on here! You boys seem to be trouncing us on yield too, 27t/ac bagged? Good effort:), if you have trouble working out how to spend all that brass:rolleyes:, we do accept donations....(y)

Dell seed came down from Aberdeen over a month ago now, nicely sprouting in blackburn in a freshly converted shed, so far so good.

Royal went into crates in a different shed last week, other varieties arriving imminently, though very few of those will be chitted. Planting won't start here til April

Well done sonoftheheir! Our Sagitta did around 19tpa which I was pleased about. I see by your photo they are a good bold sample as was ours. I was wondering about spacing for this year because I decided to give them plenty of room last year,I don't want to tighten them up and end up with marbles! It was my first year with Sagitta and Probably the best in terms of harvest and price etc but there is always room for improvement. I also gave them 250kg N which seemed high but is this enough! Any thoughts as I'm still a newcomer to sagitta

What's the downside of Sagitta? If there is one

Greens, ours were in light black Fen soil. We would have ridged them but couldn't get on in time. They require more N than others too. They finished earlier than the others. One or two slug holes too and they were treated quite often.
There was black leg but not as bad as Agria.

Ours had 300kg N I believe.Planted at 13". They were bold and had a lovely skin finish. I am tempted to put them closer but there were quite a few on a root? Also seemed quite a few smalls considering how big most were. They seemed to put out a lot of runners later on which also produced the extra small ones.

Thanks sonoftheheir. I think I might nip mine up a little from 15 to 14 ish! It wouldn't worry me if I didn't see another markies again after the chew we have had with tops!

How do they compare with piper for bruising and fries

Is this units of N? Does all your fertiliser go down the spout?
