Haulage is very expensive, and I don't really know why.

Maybe someone in the industry can explain why it's £1000 for a six/seven hour haul?

I see Jersey Royals in the supermarket already.
Nearly all the Cotiles been lifted already, the glass houses were done a while back. Some flat land being started.

I take it, soil erosion isn't an issue there?
It is, some terrible gulleys on some fields that block roads but scrape it up and take it to the top of the slope again. They spread a pea and vetch seed mix into the standing crop just prior to harvesting, so the act of harvesting covers the seed. This cover crop helps keep the soil there. Continuous spuds.

Is French seed now commonplace? Always thought it was Dutch or Scottish? Big grower near me using French Markies atm, never seen them before so thought I'd ask.
