Poultry water treatment

What do people use for their water treatment? We currently use hydrogen peroxide and chlorine tablets (not at the same time!). Would like to move to a more comprehensive/consistent and less labour intensive system.
We use quite a lot of supplements, and being layers, birds are in the sheds for a long time. So cleaning and disinfection are both important.
The companies selling chlorine dioxide systems certainly would have us believe they are the answer. But their marketing budgets and double glazing sales techniques make me wary.
We are fairly technically and chemically competent and like "farmer" solutions to problems.
Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

Chlorine dioxide works very well, but the mix components are corrosive and eat the pumps etc etc
I changed to (kanters) silver stabilised hydrogen peroxide which works well for me without the corrosive problems, using dosers from dosing solutions
This is broilers

Question 1 + 2: What is the ALARM pic? Should I be scared?
Question 3: Being a country bumpkin and a little slow on the uptake, have I started something or wandered into a long running (horse moving, pickup chosing, bale stacking, vario bashing) punch up?!!!
No, it just raises suspicion amongst members sometimes when a brand new poster dives straight in with a question about animal welfare, husbandry or chemicals used on farm. We are a suspicious lot, but perfectly harmless when you get to know us. Welcome.

For some reason I thought you were a new member. Because it said so below your Avatar.

Demand dictates supply. Have you ever noticed the huge population of the uk? They all have mouths to feed

The last major projects here have been to increase welfare, reduce costs and improve carbon foot print.
Rather than an outright push for numbers.

i like to keep things simple. We use Bioclean aqua at 100ppm via SEKO TPG603 electronic dosers and once a month or so I will flush the lines in the middle of the night at 3% to really clean them out.
To make flushing them in the night automated, we have lubing auto flushers, and a £5 timer plug.

set pumps to 3% and turn off
Pumps turn on at 23:30
Drinkers flush at 00:00
Pumps turn off at 1:00 via timer
Drinkers flush again at 3:00
Drinkers flush a second time at 5:00 to make sure all acid is out of lines.
Works a treat and it means I can get to bed ready for the next day

Hi, I have a system which we have just started to implement into poultry farms etc. We already use our Ozone tech in many others farming industries with unprecedented success and the results so far within the poultry farming industry is excellent. You can feed the ozonated water to your birds and it provides reduced disease, stops all the spread of diseases through beak etc and also gives a healthy bird with a much less fatality rate, and it just uses a cold water feed. Won't bore you any more, but if you would like some info let me know! thanks

We were using a expensive chlorine dioxide, and the company that sells the product were meant to be monitoring the levels, they never got us good water test results so we stopped using it, we now use chlorine tablets, we mix a stock of chlorine and its put in with a pulse doser, and test with a hot tub chlorine tester, and use a bit of acid but not to much as they play hell with our regulator seals, this seems to do the trick, and works out fairly cheap
