Situation Vacant Precision Farming Technical Support - Southern England

You will support customers and dealerships across the South of England, offering technical advice and solutions to strengthen relationships and grow the client base. This exceptional opportunity will harness your technical mindset and communication skills allowing you to become a trusted advisor and a key contributor to advancing the future of agriculture

The Company: An exciting business that provides an extensive and constantly evolving network to keep businesses at the forefront of precision farming technology. Enabling farmers to gain accurate tractor or machinery guidance, meaning they can benefit from VRT (Variable Rate Technology) and the implementation of GIS heat-maps generated by soil sensors as well as by drone, or satellite imagery.

Role Responsibilities:
  • To develop and maintain relationships with dealer partners in the region
  • To work as a team to deliver targeted technical support; installations, audits and upgrades
  • To provide support to new and existing customers, undertaking demonstrations and providing advice on technical related areas
  • To identify sales and develop new business opportunities
  • To promote the brand through effective advertising and attendance at trade shows and exhibitions
Skills you will need:
Essential:
  • A sound knowledge of precision farming and technological advances within the sector
  • Experience of building effective and productive relationships with key influencers
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer support skills
  • Driven with a technical mindset
  • The ability to confidently demonstrate machinery and equipment
  • A team player able to work collaboratively and autonomously
  • UK driving licence and willingness to travel
Desirable:
  • Experience of working with (in) a machinery dealership network
Remuneration: A comprehensive package commensurate with the successful candidate’s experience plus commission and bonus scheme.
