That would be a significant investment, with O licence, transport manager cpc, inspections.

Then for that width you need police notification and maybe attendant.

Thats before you start on all the drivers hours.
He could run it on a restricted O licence. As driving isn’t his main job and Ag is now exempt from drivers hours and CPC

There was a point made somewhere I think that you could do general haulage the rest of the year to pay which would require a Standard National, but yes it could be a restricted.

Since when is "Ag" exempt from drivers hours and cpc?

That doesn't appear to be in place yet and to me reads as an extension of existing exemptions rather than an exemption for agriculture in general, as suggested above.

Edit
That's only driver cpc, no mention of drivers hours.

Yes I believe it’s a change to CPC that’s not implemented yet.
As for hours, I think goods vehicles used for ag within100k of base are exempt from EU rules but still have to obey GB domestic?

Not 100% sure to be honest and can't be bothered trawling through my notes or government websites. Have nothing to with goods vehicles and agriculture now but I'm fairly sure it isn't just a free-for-all as suggested.

Got our contractor in today this is a good outfit he's on 1050 tyres.

I'm pulling them out before drilling but only as I'm at loose end while waiting for it to dry up to roll sown ground
Love these 4 wheel Terragators. They're an absolute beast and apart from their size (in some situations), I think they're a perfect machine. That would take a bigger hopper too if required. Is it one of Angus Lime Stores machines?
