@Mr Happy 🤣🤣🤣. I’ll put the kettle on.

I’m sure the actual valve will be no problem whatsoever, but hanging it somewhere suitable and routing pipes looks to be something of a game. It’s not been done early this week after your very prompt supply because we’ve been waiting for unions to arrive from Germany, apparently the only place they exist.

should of said I’d got the stihl saw in the van
That made me smile , 2 years ago wife wanted ,cat flap in outside door ,

Big day today. Fitted the new hydraulic valve sent by @Mr Happy

I’ve gone for near complete new pipework, all supplied and fitted by Thomas Burton. He understands all the valve gubbins, all I did was make the bracketry and pass spanner’s.

It all works. Just in manual mode at the moment, GPS variable rate stuff being connected up next week. The discs go fast enough to take off and the belt flies round at a hell of a rate. It doesn’t mean much today but implies there is plenty of oil flow, especially as we only tried it on tickover.

Oh, cable ties. I’m good with cable ties.
Relief? I'm glad theres light and much faster then xerion progress?

I wish I’d had time to paint the valve, but to do it properly would take a fair while. I’m going to get some clear paint lacquer to coat it until such time I can get it done properly. Same with all the brackets I’ve made, they’ve just had a flash of paint for now so will all have to come off over the winter.

Just lacquered the valve and pipe fittings. Should keep it looking smart for a few minutes.

After advice from The Cornish Magician I’m going to seal between the valve slices. The back will have to wait until it all comes off to paint the brackets during the winter.

Cup of tea, then see if we can rig up some temporary mudwing extensions to cater for the wider tyres.

Productive evening. Quick fit, temporary mudwing extensions to protect the body paint and the new valve from mud flying off the tyres. Stock board is ideal for these little jobs, I use it a lot.

The lever on the valve won’t stay on, it’s just to remind me with slice does the belt drive.

Made a temporary cover for the valve too. Everything here is on the side I load from so occasionally there could be lime or even a stone fall from the bucket. The little pipes on the top of the valve look a bit fragile so hopefully any stones will bounce off the guard rather than break the pipe union.

It will be fixed down once the GPS chap has finished his work.

I have a smart stainless steel cover I can adapt to protect the valve but it will take time to make a nice job of it, whereas this took about 20 minutes.

Again, come winter, I’ll get some smart mudwings to do the job.
