Protest vote backfired?

Just do what Australia does, if they have no right to come into the country then deport them back to the country they have just come from!

Won't you need an agreement with the country to which you are going to send them to actually accept them back?

Or do you suggest just pushing them off a cliff? Will you give them life jackets?

As soon as DC doesn't get his own way he's out.The man should have said I am PM of a great country I may not agree with the vote BUT it is what the people have voted for that would have shown great leadership and a willingness to listen to the public.
I voted out and still would.
You only have to listen and see the body language of the EU its total power they want ,and to say we will make it hard for Britain so no on e else can leave says it all.
EU is a money pit too many on the gravy train in high office, the small amount of money been handed out is pocket money to them to please the workers.
Biggest expense to change all the flags and paper work to 27
You're saying you would have wanted him to do the Leave campaigns negotiations? And after all the "thin gruel" comments after February. The guy just can't win

Cameron didn't ask for anything in the 'renegotiation'!

As for not making it easy for others to leave... if you need to keep them 'in' using threats, the reality is that they're already halfway out the door...!
negotiating is so easy until the other guy says no.

Well I have the popcorn and a ring side seat when the real heroes get in to action. There may be quite a few fronts to be negotiating at the same time, not just the EU but that's nothing for a super hero

Put a bit of stick about, eh!!
Just like doing trade agreements. The other guys just better accept what's on offer, eh. If they don't it's not the UK's problem is it??
Why in hell did the world have to have other countries in the first place. Damn inconsiderate of it!!
Negotiating is easy man, can't you see. The manual must be out there, speak English slowly but loudly. Bound to win every time :ROFLMAO:

Changing legislation on deportation would take years and, with the real prospect of a change of party in the next GE, to Labour, will likely never happen. You can't just deport people back to their country of origin - especially if they have no passport / papers and refuse to tell you! Plus, as Sleepy says above, many countries will refuse to take or, if they're political refugees, will use them as vehicles to make a point and execute. It all sounds great in principle but in reality, very difficult to implement. Nothing will change re illegal immigrants because they aren't anything to do with the EU per se.

Yes, post Article 50, it will be possible to impose stricter controls on who is legally allowed to enter the UK than already exists but that's about it, I'm not even sure that will make very much difference - most of those already legally in this country are contributing via their taxes and NI. Incidentally I'd love to know how many farmers do the same, especially as regards NI. The majority I know are marginal, take low incomes out of their farms and put day-to-day living costs through the farm perfectly legally but not sure they have the best legs to stand on when it comes to others draining the economy,...

American I spoke with this morning on Skype couldn't believe the vote.
His thinking is that above all the countries in the EU, the Brits have a super position. The single market, their rebate, outside Shengen, opt out from some of the more daft EU rules on working time, massive financial service industry tied to the Euro AND their own currency!!!!! In his words "stuupid"

I follow a guy on twitter that has been doing door to door and telephone stuff over the past couple of months, his observations were that most of the people that wanted out did so because of immigration. Not just your nutters and racists but general hard working people.
