The UK justice system is largely ineffectual. The prison service is just not large enough for the job and is woefully underfunded and so handing out sentences is probably the last thing they want to do.

We need a load of prison ships anchored off the coast. Let the Americans run them, they seem to manage their prisons quite cheaply and are no strangers to locking folk up often for a long time.

It is ridiculous that police numbers have been cut when there is a growing population and too much immigration.
Prison sentences should be short but very strict. Make it a place that the skanks fear to be.
We are a far too liberal country and we are paying the price.

Part of the problem is that I suspect the majority of the senior ranks in the justice system are paid a fortune and live in upmarket areas in houses that are gated off from the rest of society. They are thus unlikely to ever have the experience of suffering from crime. They live in a very different reality to any of us I suspect.

In UK land prices are totally divorced from productive potential. The bubble is driven by non Ag investors looking for tax breaks.

Less availability is an issue on this small island, but tax evasion is first, safe haven for cash second, and a nice eu guaranteed income till march 19
