I think modern ingenuity can give us a more effective solution than simply relying on a bit of erratic driving.
Having said that, I remember feeding sheep by driving round the field with a big square bale in the Ifor box, throwing a slice out of the jockey door every ten yards.

Of course, the ideal ‘motor’ for such an operation, would be a small child hurling beet out of the trailer as you pottered round.?
