Made a handheld clipex post sleeve for bashing them in with the lump hammer, old pto shaft and old plate from a broken guard, I even used a second hand welding rod

Due to the cr@p weather earlier in the week we've had to use a different shed to hold lambs and their mothers coming out of the individual pens. Unfortunately the little fudgers insist on trying to swim in the water trough:facepalm:
Had to go for the 'fish hole in the ice' solution......

Cut a square out of the corner of an old bread tray so the ewes can just get their noses in but not big enough for the lambs to go skinny dipping(y)
Must declare the use of 4 new screws for fixing purposes:eek: - no time to rumage round for used ones:(

The four screws would normally disqualify you, however for animal welfare issues you will get away with it, providing you can explain why you had them in the first place!

This may get slated on here so tin hat on.
The telescopic ram seals are gone on the loader, we still need to be able to use the loader so a few pieces of scrap tube, a couple of pipe clamps (all lifted from the floor in work) and a ratchet strap should let us away. The baler twine would need to have been doubled up too much hence the use of a fancy strap [emoji23]. Cable ties left with the tails on so they can be removed [emoji12]

Idea shamelessly stolen from @exmoor dave made a thistle grubber to go on the other end of my leg catching crook. Just a short piece of scaffold tube i found under the diesel tank split down the middle with a grinder then squeezed in a vice and hit with a hammer till it was the shape i wantes and welded up with a leftover welding rod stump. Then an old screw used to hold it in place. Stick is cut from a hedge. Whole thing took less than an hour hope it fits the criteria even though theres no baler twine

what stick is very straight and equal thickness. When you say it is from a hedge, do you mean it came from under/in a hedge, or is actually a hedge plant branch?

Its a hazel stick i cut from an overgrown hedge were the hedgecutter cant reach is been eyeing it up for a while for something. Its light coloured because i shaved the bark off and left it by the log burner in the house for a couple of weeks to dry out. Couldnt be bothered to wait 6 months or however long it takes a hazel stick to season properly
