Wot no 'farmer's friend'? Please tell me that they are second/third hand ties!
I don't think we have any farmers friend left as all our bales are round now a days, they did come off the workshop floor

You don't dung her out too often, Maybe we should start a competition for the dirtiest cab,Temporary repair to accelerator pedal now in its 5th year of service.
Think this qualifies as a bodge
Used baler twine ✔
Old trampoline spring✔
disqualified the bodge is sound but the ticks on the typing far too hi tech
What made me laugh was the lolly stick on the floor....brilliant!...could come in handy for another quick fix....at least you know where it isTemporary repair to accelerator pedal now in its 5th year of service.

That’s not a bodge, that’s a permanent repair! Top job.Was baling yesterday and the pickup chain broke. I was 15miles from home so needed a bodge to get her going again.
Bent open the plates on the link, and managed to hammer a spout bolt I found in the cab through. Even found a nut!!!
Did 80 bales odd and got job finished.View attachment 713550

Include COMMON SENSE, and you are on a winner. The other day, I was chewing the fat with father about writing a book on the martial art and etiquate of reusing bale string. It could be a best seller like the Norwegian book on splitting and stacking firewood, but I hadn't though about the spin off training as part of a techincal degree in bodging to give less fortunate people a vital life skill.
Personally I think that the use of a limited bit of new stuff is OK, since most of the build is using old stuff......
What amazes me (are you REALLY from Yorkshire?) is the unashamed use of new barbed. You could at least have draped a few nettles over it to make it look as if it had been left in a hedge. Is money no object nowadays in the Northern Powerhouse?
